Bio

Valdez is a lifelong sales professional with over three decades selling everything from shoes to securities. He began selling at 10 years of age going door to door selling subscriptions to the San Francisco Chronicle.

He had great success selling investments and quickly moved into management. As a manager, he prided himself in both hiring good people but also in developing future sales leaders. His observations as a manager are that salespeople companywide were unnecessarily dependent on company marketing. When marketing either slowed or was ineffective many salespeople were much less productive.

Valdez proposed a new training program to the corporate training department and was enlisted to develop the training himself. As a result, Valdez initiated intrapreneurial activities that led to increased sales for many sales professionals in a Fortune 500 company who before training, were very one dimensional in their selling approach.

Through the new training department led by Valdez he integrated concepts involving selling based on personality matching, referral programing etc.

His mission to create a better sales professionals has saved careers for many who otherwise would have left the profession and helped others transition out of the profession because of misplaced skillsets.

Valdez has recently authored a book titled Marketing 4 Salespeople: How to attract Ideal Clients, a website Marketing4Salespeople.com and created a course offered to the public with the same title.

In addition to his education from USC in Communication Arts and Sciences now The Annenberg School of Communication Valdez is trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Negotiation, Personality Type, Hypnosis and in Neurolinguistic Programming
