I like to buy stuff! You might say I'm a mega consumer. I am also a sales professional. There is one thing I can not stand and that is poor salesmanship. So, here I am in the fourth quarter of my career working to make it easier for others like me to buy by teaching salespeople how to be customer centric and sell from a buyers perspective.
You never retire if you love sales you just sell other things.
I thank you for stopping by no doubt you have seen some of my work with salespeople and want to know more about me

Who Am I and Why I Built Marketing for Salespeople?
With humble beginnings in a small town outside of San Franciso, California I started my journey into the world of sales. As a child no more than ten years of age, I found myself eagerly selling newspaper subscriptions door to door for the San Francisco Chronicle. Little did I know that this early experience would set the stage for a diverse and dynamic career in sales that would span decades in various industries and approaches to selling.
From those early childhood experiences, I had the opportunity to sell everything from shoes to securities. The thrill of connecting with people and convincing them to make a purchase became my passion. I embraced every opportunity, whether it was B2B or B2C. I succeeded in telephone, door-to-door, and the demanding environment of retail sales.
Through these experiences, I developed an intimate understanding of the sales process. I witnessed firsthand the power of effective communication, the art of persuasion, and the importance of building lasting relationships with customers. But my impetus for collaborating with salespeople today stems from a different perspective.
What truly sets me apart is my dual identity as a mega consumer. I am driven by a relentless desire to explore and indulge in new and exciting products, fashions, and innovations. Yet, amidst my consumer enthusiasm, I cannot ignore the disappointment I feel when faced with inept salespeople.
This disappointment is the catalyst for my mission – to redefine the sales experience and make it enjoyable for consumers. I believe that, as a nation of mega-consumers, we deserve salespeople who understand the intricacies of customer-centric selling.
My approach is rooted in servant leadership and behavioral science, and aim to empower sales professionals to create positive and meaningful interactions with their customers.
The driving force behind my advocacy is the firm belief in the Platinum Rule. Unlike the traditional Golden Rule, the Platinum Rule encourages us to sell the way buyers want to buy. It is about understanding and adapting to the unique needs and preferences of each customer, fostering a connection that goes beyond a transaction.
In all my communications, whether mentoring aspiring salespeople or crafting content, the Platinum Rule is the guiding principle. I am enthusiastic about instilling this customer-centric approach in the next generation of sales professionals, creating a paradigm shift that enhances the joy of buying for consumers and transforms sales into a fulfilling and respectful experience for all.
