A Christmas Cactus cannot withstand direct sunlight as its environment needs bright indirect light. Excessive sun may be scalding and inadequate lighting may curtail blossoming. Put the plant in an east or north-west facing window whereby it gets morning light. Regular light is also used during fall to control the natural blooming cycle. It is not advisable that the plant be moved around, because of sudden change of light that may cause stress to the plant hence fewer flowers in the long run.
